FINE TUNE YOUR DEFENDER - for a more relaxing fun drive

Things have come a long way since those great old days when we just tweaked the fuelling screw on the injection pump and turned the turbo up a little to push a little more, or occasionally a lot more fuel and air into the cylinder chambers to make more power and torque. Something we did successfully once the 200TDi’s appeared on the scene in the early 90s. We added larger Intercoolers, even adjustable fuelling, which worked well in the competitive off road scene we were so heavily involved in. Ever since we have just kept pushing the bar so to speak, experience tells in a way that we can advocate and advise on a reliable long lasting solution to give you more power and a lot more low down torque which will transform how your Defender drives. It will sound smoother and less stressed and deliver far more effortless performance for those who wish to enjoy a more relaxing drive or expect more via heavy towing or spec'd up heavier kitted Defender needs.

Our NeneBuilt stage one tune solution for TD5, 2.4 and 2.2 TDci Defender will lift horse power and torque by approximately 35% This package utilises a dedicated ECU reconfigure map.

Our NeneBuilt stage two tune solution for TD5, 2.4 and 2.2 TDci Defender will lift horse power and torque by approximately 45/50% This package utilises a cast alloy high flow intercooler, silicon hose kit and dedicated ECU reconfigure map.

Further performance enhancements we can add are a range of Vortex stainless exhaust systems, bespoke NeneBuilt larger bore side and twin, quad or centre exit exhausts all designed and built here at our Peterborough facility often to give our clients a unique sound and look. Please always
be aware that some twin, quad rear exit systems on the market have been built and designed solely for the look with absolutely no regard for performance, so often actually strangle the Defenders engine performance basically reducing any gains you may of paid for, via tune, remap etc so be careful. Also bear in mind that raised air intakes - snorkels that we all see bolted on so many Defenders again often strangle the ability for your engine to breath in enough air, thus reducing its ability to perform correctly. Please ask as we can always advise which raised air intakes work well and those that just don’t. Experience tells, so embrace our lifelong passion and knowledge.
